PDF-4/Organics provides comprehensive coverage as the world’s largest X-ray powder diffraction database for organics and organometallics. It is designed for a multitude of applications in the pharmaceutical, regulatory, specialty chemical, biomaterials and forensic fields. The database consists of converted, edited, and standardized data from the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) complemented by organics from ICDD sources and select inorganics from ICDD, ICSD, and NIST. These inorganics include pharmaceutically relevant components and excipients, as well as common X-ray powder diffraction standard materials. Entries include nearly 40,000 experimental with NIST and ICSD derived entries and ~430,000 CSD-derived patterns. The 471,000+ entries include pharmaceuticals, polymers (including starches and celluloses), excipients, common inorganic salts, energetic materials, catalysts, metal-organic frameworks, and materials of interest for forensic studies.
