Schmidt SIGMAWIG All-Welded Plate Heat Exchangers
The Schmidt SIGMAWIG all-welded Plate Heat Exchanger represents the most compact, rugged and cost-effective means of transferring heat in many industrial, chemical and pharmaceutical applications. Designs are offered either entirely without gaskets, or with an O-ring type gasket between the all-welded plate pack and frame in applications exposed to extreme thermal expansion. The SIGMAWIG features corrugated plates that produce highly turbulent flow in a true counter-current direction resulting in a high efficiency, very compact design.
API Heat Transfer offers the SIGMAWIG line in either stainless steel or mild steel frames. Flow rates up to 1540 GPM (350 m³/hr) can be achieved.
