Carboxymethyl Cellulose or Cellulose Gum is a cellulose derivative with carboxymethyl groups bound to some of the hydroxyl groups of the glucopyranose monomers that make up the cellulose backbone. Used as a suspending agent, thickener, in creams, and hair care products.
