Para-Chloro-Meta-Xylenol (PCMX), also known as Chloroxylenol, is an antiseptic and disinfectant.
PCMX Uses: PCMX, or Chloroxylenol, is used to disinfect skin and for cleaning surgical instruments. Due to its antiseptic properties, PCMX is used in many household disinfectants and wound cleaners. PCMX is also sometimes used as an ingredient in personal care products, such as antibacterial soaps.
