Corporate social responsibility is a critical component of Xometry’s culture and social mission. Since the company went public in 2021, we have committed 1% of our equity to support charitable organizations that strive to improve educational opportunities for all, foster civic responsibility, reduce global CO2 output, and help train and expand the horizons of the next generation of inventors.
The Xometry Scholars Program, a part of a Xometry.org donor-advised fund, was created to champion this mission. By supporting sustainable manufacturing initiatives and providing educational opportunities for students, especially those from underrepresented communities, Xometry hopes to help build a brighter future for American manufacturing.
Xometry is on track to fulfill its pledge by awarding scholarships to students in Maryland, New York, South Carolina, and Wisconsin.
Mayland: Xometry will fund 57 scholarships for students from the Community College of Baltimore County beginning this fall.
New York: Xometry is committed to providing full-tuition scholarships for up to 40 Clinton Community College students throughout New York State.
South Carolina: Xometry will help fund tuition for 28 Machine Tool Technology students and 5 Mechanical Engineering students from the Florence Darlington Technical College Educational Foundation for the Fall 2022 semester.
Wisconsin: Xometry is committed to providing full-tuition scholarships for up to 50 students from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
And Xometry isn’t slowing down. The company will soon announce partnerships with organizations in Kentucky and Connecticut that will expand the reach of the Scholars Program.
We are thankful for our partners who have worked diligently alongside us to positively impact the lives of these students. We look forward to seeing what we will build together.
