Xometry to Provide 250 Scholarships to US Manufacturing Students

Press Release from Xometry

“All of us at Xometry come to work every morning with one objective in mind: to champion the manufacturers who build the big ideas that move our collective world forward.”
Randy Altschuler,
Founder and CEO of Xometry

Corporate social responsibility is a critical component of Xometry’s culture and social mission. Since the company went public in 2021, we have committed 1% of our equity to support charitable organizations that strive to improve educational opportunities for all, foster civic responsibility, reduce global CO2 output, and help train and expand the horizons of the next generation of inventors.

“As the largest digital marketplace of its kind, we work with thousands of manufacturers across the country. We uniquely understand their imminent needs, and a skilled workforce tops the list. Investing in the next generation of skilled workers is essential to accelerating innovation and protecting our nation’s economic and national-security interests. American manufacturing will lead the way to a cleaner, more inclusive future, but we need the talent to do so.”
Randy Altschuler,
Founder and CEO of Xometry

The Xometry Scholars Program, a part of a Xometry.org donor-advised fund, was created to champion this mission. By supporting sustainable manufacturing initiatives and providing educational opportunities for students, especially those from underrepresented communities, Xometry hopes to help build a brighter future for American manufacturing.

Xometry is on track to fulfill its pledge by awarding scholarships to students in MarylandNew YorkSouth Carolina, and Wisconsin

“Part of re-establishing U.S. manufacturing leadership is expanding the cohort of talented mechanical engineers, machinists, and technicians. In order to accelerate innovation, the U.S. needs more than just material infrastructure. It needs to invest in training the next generation with the skills that are essential to modern manufacturing. We are proud to do what we can to make an impact here.”
