Today, the company announced the addition of an Orbitrap Exploris 120 MS with Vanquish Liquid Chromatography to its suite of analytical services. The Orbitrap Exploris is a high-performance quadrupole mass spectrometry system that combines a quadrupole, an ion routing multipole, and an Orbitrap analyzer and features higher-energy collisional dissociation (HCD) and in-source fragmentation. The high-field Orbitrap mass analyzer performs high-resolution, accurate mass analysis, with and without HCD fragmentation. Supports fast gradient separations in LCMS workflows, UHPLC applications, and standard HPLC workflows. The system provides resolution up to 120,000 FWHM (Full Width Half Maximum), allowing for precise mass measurements with high confidence in compound identification for distinguishing between closely related compounds and accurately identifying unknowns in complex samples.

"LC/MS can analyze the molecular structure, purity, and composition of small organic molecules, including active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), metabolites, and degradation products," said Dr. Jeff Stewart, who leads the chromatography group at Triclinic. " Not only can we offer comprehensive analysis of small molecules but also polymers, peptides, natural products, coatings, contaminants, and other chemicals where identification and quantification are needed," he added. Triclinic offers quantification, impurity profiling, structure elucidation, chiral analysis, extractable, and leachable testing, metabolite identification, and other mass spectrometry services and tests crucial for the drug development market.
